What you already pay for, checked against how people really work, plus an AI policy that holds up.

Integrations and hardware

Systems that talk to each other, and devices that fit what staff and learners need.

Implementation and ongoing support

We set it up, train your people and stay on as your technology team.

AI agents

Agents that take on reporting, data entry and repetitive admin, scoped from what discovery finds.

Our own products, where they fit

If tracked e-learning is part of the answer, ORBIT plays it in Microsoft Teams. If it isn’t, we won’t suggest it.

Case studies

What we found, what we did and what changed

Anonymised, but every number comes from the discovery work itself.

Case study · Large general FE college

A single-supplier AI strategy, tested against how staff really work

247 survey responses and 32 conversations across leadership, curriculum, corporate services, MIS, apprenticeships and admissions.

11.44FTE validated
£411,840a year, five workflows
Problem
152 staff were using Copilot against 148 on ChatGPT, and only 25% used Copilot alone. The college had 120 paid Microsoft 365 Copilot seats at roughly £280 each.
Solution
We reframed it as a question of governance and displacement: remove dormant add-on seats at renewal and return users to Copilot Chat on the existing licence.
Result
A strategic review with two delivery options. Net new tooling was held to £17,500 against a six-figure validated return.

Case study · General FE college

Our largest validated return to date

122 staff survey responses from across the college.

14.5 FTEfrom respondents alone
£521,550a year, validated
Problem
75% of staff used AI weekly or daily through personal consumer accounts, with no guardrails in place.
Solution
Six moves: activating Gemini Enterprise and NotebookLM, four custom Gems for named departments, resolving a learner-system silo, and an AI literacy rollout.
Result
A strategy document, a one-page summary for the CEO and on-site CPD. Four AI agents are scoped as a follow-on build.

Case study · Multi-site college group

Google or Microsoft? Answered from evidence, not opinion

32 interviews and a 76-response staff survey across the group.

4.19 / 5teaching staff, who prefer Google
2.41 / 5admin and corporate staff, who prefer Microsoft
Problem
Three AI assistants, parallel plagiarism checkers and duplicate diagnostic tools, with £25k to £30k going on one tool alone.
Solution
A rationalisation plan, built against a fully costed inventory of every tool in use.
Result
A discovery report, a stance matrix the leadership team could act on, and a survey dashboard.

Case study · National training provider

Reporting and data: the hidden workload

A staff survey and review of the provider’s systems and workflows.

£126,720a year, base case
3.52 FTEof capacity identified
Problem
34% of staff named reporting as the thing to fix. The CRM was being used as a database only, a campaign tool was over-specified, Teams use was patchy, and 79% didn’t know the Teams gradebook existed.
Solution
Six workflow cards, a CRM consolidation review timed to renewals, and a govern, tool, train sequence.
Result
A findings report for the CEO and senior leadership team, plus Canva secured at zero cost.

Case study · Large multi-site college group

Inclusion technology turned into an outcome-led plan

Every inclusion product reviewed against the DfE’s seven inclusion principles.

7DfE inclusion principles mapped
1joined-up contract
Problem
The group needed to turn its inclusion technology into a joined-up plan it could evidence against the DfE’s seven inclusion principles.
Solution
We mapped each product against the DfE’s seven inclusion principles and built a plan covering needs identification, adaptive teaching CPD, assistive technology, accessible content and inclusive assessment.
Result
One outcome-led plan, delivered through one joined-up contract.
